After completing her studies in Music and Management Studies in London, Leni Thio went on to write her 12-track debut album #33 inspired by issues and events taking place throughout 2016 – the year the album was written.

Prior to the completion of #33, Leni poured her passion into unpublished purely instrumental compositions, influenced by 20th-century music. With the aim of one day venturing into film music composition, she creates music that can be universally understood, taking on the saying the saying that music is a universal language.

Taking influence from classical musicians such as Debussy and Ravel, and from pop musicians such as James Brown, The Beatles and The Beach Boys, Leni has created a contemporary fusion of genres which encompass her individual musical style.
